Last night after work, I saw the first ever Canadian screening of the Greek film Wasted Youth at the TIFF, a movie that was loosely inspired by an event that happened in Anthens, Greece back in 2008. I thoroughly enjoyed the Q&A with the movie’s two co-directors following the screening. Though not scripted and produced with a small budget and diy attitude, the movie is beautiful to watch and tells a very poignant story of a young skateboarder and middle-aged policeman, who’s lives are set to cross paths. The soundtrack of the movie, all original music from Greek bands is also fantastic! There is another screening this Saturday if ever you’d like to check it out!
For today’s outfit, I’m mixing patterns: Black and white vs. camo! If my mom were to see my outfit today, she wouldn’t be very proud. It basically goes against everything she taught me about fashion (no mixing prints, no mismatching colors, etc) but I’ve been seeing a lot of mixed prints on runway photos from NYFW so I figured I’d give it a shot.
