So excited because today I’m heading back to Miami! It’s almost been a year since I last visited this exciting city so I can’t wait to see what’s new, discover new parts of South Beach and enjoy the beach!
I’m sad to be missing all of the NYFW action and livestreams this weekend but it’s for a good cause 😉
Stay tuned for a new travel blog on Miami to come next week!
During the last couple of days, there’s been lot’s of talk about the new Vine App. So far I have mixed feelings about the app, I’ve been seeing mostly baby and dog videos but I know this could become another great social media tool so I’ve decided to join the bandwagon. If you’re on Vine, you can follow me @melsays. My videos will most likely be about: fashion, travel, surf, California, music, food & work.
The weather is a little warmer in Toronto today so I chose some royal blue shorts, a grey animal print tee, grey tights, silver arm candy and my Spike The Punch necklace.
It’s my last day in Ottawa at Contact Ontarois. It’d be a lie if I said that I wasn’t excited to get back to Toronto tomorrow. Definitely looking forward to warmer temperatures and being home. As a kid, my mom used to always pick out dresses for us on Fridays and over the years that tradition kind of stuck with me. Though I don’t wear dresses EVERY Friday, it’s something that I often do, just by habit and because Fridays feel like a celebration to me: the work or school week is over and the weekend is here!
So today, I wore one of my favorite summer dresses from Zara and “winterized” it a bit, with my new H&M diagonal zip jacket, a pair of dark stockings and my Je voudrais être une princesse boots from Paris.
This morning I flew to Ottawa to cover the Contact Ontarois festival for my tv show BRBR. While I’m in town, I’ll have the chance to chat with a handful of up and coming acts from Ontario and Quebec. Today’s first interview will be with a lovely folk/country duo from Quebec called Les Soeurs Boulay.
When traveling to Ottawa, one thing you always need to remember is to dress warm and bring boots as it is always super cold, windy and wintery. When I landed today, it was no exception! Snow, cold and wind awaited! Really happy I bought the Je voudrais être une princesse boots while I was in Paris, they’ll definitely be useful here!
