My Style Statement with PANDORA

FullSizeRender (47)

When I think of a perfect date night, I think of the following: a cute outfit, pretty jewelry and going to one of my favorite local hot spots.

Living in Toronto is wonderful because there’s always a new restaurant or bar opening up around the city, which make dates that much more fun!

When it comes to planning my outfits for a date, I always want to make a statement. There are many ways to make statements with how you dress, but one of the ways I love most is with my jewelry. I love putting together different outfits around pieces of jewelry, making outfits either more glamorous or more laid back, depending on what I pick out.

Lately, because I’ve been training for my first 15K race, I’ve been spending a lot of time in workout clothes, so there’s no excuse for me not to glam it up when going out. Plus, with the warm weather now at our doorstep, dresses are back in my closet and making a regular appearance. And let’s be honest, dresses are the most comfortable thing to wear when the weather gets hot, aren’t they, ladies?

For tonight’s date night outfit, I picked out one of my favorite dresses that I got a few months back. It’s a simple green silk dress that I paired with some black suede ankle boots. To complete the look, I added some of my favorite PANDORA jewels.

I’m particularly fond of this matching Necklace Tropical Palm, Clear Cubic Zirco and Ring Tropical Palm, Clear Cubic Zirconia set. It’s delicate and also unique. I find it also goes well with the green dress, reminding me of a beautiful forest. I also love these small Earring Studs, Birthday Blooms, May, Chrys; they go perfectly with my red hair.

I also stacked the Ring Alluring Brilliant Marquise, Clear C and Ring Brilliant Princess, Clear C on my other hand. For me, sparkles are a must on a date night.

PANDORA has so many different styles to choose from that you’re sure to find something for every outfit.

Add a touch of lipstick, black eyeliner (I always like to keep a touch of rock n’ roll in all of my outfits!) and you’ve got a winning look!

Jean Paul Gaultier

I decided to do a men’s outfit special on the blog this week! Putting my outfits together every day is always a whole lot of fun but I’ve always wanted to style men as well. I’ve had the chance to do some menswear styling on music videos but thought it’d be a fun exercise to do for a daily outfit. I’m lucky because I have access to the perfect model, Offner, who probably has just as much clothes as I do. So this week’s outfits will be dedicated to menswear!

I’ve always had a thing for the rocker look. So for the first look of the week, I went for a Jean Paul Gaultier inspired outfit. I love a well-fitted leather jacket on a man and this custom made jacket from The Cast NYC has the raddest details and cut. It goes with every kind of outfit! The striped shirt is also a classic and a pair of bright slacks adds a nice pop of color to the look. For accessories, I added this badass Verameat necklace that we got in LA last year. I love Verameat’s designs because they’re unisex and are so versatile.

What do you guys think?

Reminiscing today about the amazing time I had in Capri back in June! This captain hat was the perfect thing to bring back from our wonderful stay there. My favorite thing we did while we were in Capri was hands down renting a boat and exploring the island. So much fun!! If you’re planning on traveling to Capri in the near future, make sure you check out my Capri travel blog here.

Be A Shark #DailyOutfit

I love anything to do with sharks! I’m obsessed with Shark Week, I love watching documentaries on sharks, I love learning about them and hope to one day be lucky enough to go on an expedition to swim with them. I have utmost respect for these creatures. Though a bit scary, sharks are so smart and have such distinct and interesting characteristics. So I was pretty stoked when OIA Jules created some pretty gold shark tooth inspired necklaces. I loved my big necklace so much, I recently got a miniature version of it as well. I wouldn’t say I would describe myself as being a “shark” but I do love the confidence these animals have. I think it’s ok to have shark-like confidence once in a while!!

More Color #DailyOutfit

Apologies for the lack of updates these past couple of days. Right after spending a few hectic days at World MasterCard Fashion Week I left for NYC at the crack of dawn on Friday. I’m beyond thrilled to have attended the School Of Style this past weekend at the Ace Hotel in Manhattan. The coolest Christmas present! I’ll be posting a new NYC travel blog shortly with more info about the school. Can’t wait to continue my training with them this spring/summer and be able to get my diploma!

Speaking of spring, like most of you, I’m extremely tired of wearing dark colors. I’m currently listening to a lot of “spring” records including this rad new record from a band called Language Arts. Tracks like these definitely add a bit of magic and color to my day. What are your current spring favorites? What colors are you stoked about for Spring?

WMCFW FW14 Day 3 #DailyOutfit

For my third FW14 WMCFW outfit, I decided to put the emphasis on a bright colored coat. I picked this amazing green coat from Zara to compliment my red hair. I think anyone can pull this look off. Zara had a handful of other colored jackets like fuchsia, bright yellow, neon blue, etc. I think wearing a bright colored coat automatically spices up your outfit!

Here I am after three full days of shows, a little tired to say the least! Had such a blast again this evening! Can’t believe it’s over for this season. Check for my full Day 3 recap coming tomorrow am! Night!! xo

WMCFW FW14 Day 1 #DailyOutfit

For this season’s runway shows I decided to keep my outfits pretty warm as the weather outside is still super brutal. For my first look of the week, I’m wearing shades of white, off white and black. I opted for a more rock n’ roll outfit to kick this exciting week of high fashion!!

White Out #DailyOutfit

Today we were reminded that it’s still winter in Toronto. Mother Nature graciously gave us enough snow to last a couple of months! I really felt I was living in a snow globe today!

All this snow didn’t prevent me from spending the day in a dress. Lace is going to be big again in the spring so I’m excited to have this Zara dress in my wardrobe. What I love doing every season is buying a few dresses that can be dressed up or down and mixed with other items in my closet. Do you like wearing dresses in winter? Are you a fan of lace?

Dreamer #DailyOutfit

I think those who know me would definitely call me a dreamer. I dream of a lot of things, not only for myself but for other people and for the world around me. When I first heard of Karen London Designs, I immediately felt connected to the brand. Her jewelry are called names that I can easily relate to – “Wanderer”, “Desert Moon”, “Free Bird”, etc. Her latest collection entitled “Dream Weaver” has as a motto – “Fly me away to the bright side of the moon” and consists in bright stones and colors, as well as a very bohemian and mediterranean feel. I’m thrilled to be sporting some items from the new collection today.

These days I mostly dream of travels, summer, adventure, food (silly, I know!), creativity and surfing! What do you dream of?

All About The Hat #DailyOutfit

Today’s outfit is all about the hat – the new Anine Bing hat I brought back from my trip to LA. I’ve been lusting over this hat for the past couple of months, so finally to have finally made it a part of my wardrobe. I never thought I’d be a big hat person but I’m finding it to be the perfect accessory. It goes well with pretty much any outfit – whether you’re going for the more rock n’ roll look, a laid back look or even dressy look. It’s also perfect for when it snows or when you don’t feel like dealing with your hair in the morning. Also, this type of hat can really be worn all-year-round. Though this one is from Anine Bing, you can find similar hats at Topshop, Forever 21, H&M, etc. all for under $150, so you don’t have to break the bank. I think it’s definitely worth the investment!
