Fall is here and I’ve found the perfect dress for the season. A dress that will keep me warm while still looking stylish. Not a big fan of tights so I will keep rocking the bare legs for a little while longer, hopefully I can keep doing so as I cross the country from east to west for the next seven weeks. Hopefully we won’t be running into snow along the way… Fingers crossed! This dress will be perfect for staying in and cozying up on colder days but also for dressing it up with a pair of boots or even heels! Plus, the best part, it has a hood! It has now become my indispensable dress for the fall!
The Anine Bing obsession continues! As of late, I haven’t been making too many fashion purchases, instead I’ve been saving money for other things (ie. travel, wedding & more!) but I couldn’t resist stopping by the Anine Bing shop while I was in LA last week. I always have the best welcome at her shop and am always tempted to buy absolutely everything in there. Over the past couple of years, my closet has really transformed into almost exclusively Anine Bing threads, can’t really explain why, she just makes the most comfortable and coolest clothes!
My dear friend Maggie (m.y. photography) was nice enough to lend her awesome photography skills for my latest outfit post. We took a little walk to capture the beautiful Southern California scenery. I love all the trees, plants, flowers and landscapes there so much! Hope you guys enjoy these! 😀
Do you have a designer you’re currently obsessed with?
Keeping warm with some of my favorite things today! Love my new oversized camel sweater from Zara. It goes perfectly with my SUPER warm checkered camel & burgundy scarf that I got at H&M. H&M has become one of my go-to places to pick up a bunch of scarves, hats and gloves for winter. They’re all great to mix and match and also super affordable. I also added my Zara bag and my leopard pumps to complete this camel outfit!
Today, I share with you part 2 of my nature walk in Toronto. Aleyah had the idea of getting me to wear contrasting fabrics and colors in a nature setting. I thought this dress that I was gifted in Paris earlier this year would be the perfect fit. This vegan leather dress from Zara has a really original cut and shape. I kept the look simple with no jewelry and just a bold lip. I’m really happy with how these pictures turned out!
Fall is such an amazing time for outdoor walks. Though I don’t like the falling temperatures, I do really enjoy spending time outdoors and seeing nature change right before our eyes. The talented Toronto-based photographer Aleyah Solomon and I decided to do a special fall-themed photo shoot last week, exploring nature in downtown Toronto. Yes, there are some very beautiful quiet spots in the city where you can walk or bike in the “woods”. We called our exploratory shoot the “Nature Walk”. Here is the first look from our walk in the city.
Happy Canadian Thanksgivingeveryone!! So much to be grateful for on this day and also throughout the year. Thankful for my health, my family & friends, all the amazing opportunities that have come my way this year and just being able to travel the world and do what makes me happy! Also grateful to all of you who take the time out of your day to come visit this site! Thank YOU!
I love my new M for Mendocino long sleeve dress. It’s the comfiest and is perfect for fall. For today’s outfit, I gave it more of an edge with a leather jacket and combat boots. Those who know me, know how much sharks fascinate me. I’m obsessed with my new Crywolf shark tooth necklace (thanks Offner!). Crywolf is a super cute shop located on Ossington Ave. in Toronto. They have the greatest selection of little gifts, apparel and items for the house.
Took a beautiful stroll on the waterfront in Toronto this evening after work. I love having time to walk around and explore my city without having a particular goal in mind. I love breathing in the cool and crisp fall air. The walk was very welcome after a busy day at work!
Pinch me! I can’t believe it’s already October! Things I love about October: the leaves changing colours, the crisp smell of fall, being able to wear pants again, bringing my collection of teas back out, etc! Another thing about October is that it’s BREAST CANCER AWARENESS month. Breast cancer is a cause that touches me directly, my mother is a breast cancer survivor. Unfortunately, a lot of her friends who were also diagnosed around the same time as her, have passed away. We’ve come such a long way in regards to treatment but we still have so much further to go. There are so many great initiatives and campaigns out there to raise funds for breast cancer. I particularly liked this unique campaign I saw today by Surfline x Mauli Ola Foundation called “Battle For The Breasts”, which gets you to vote for your favorite women surfers. You can check it out here. For more information on Breast Cancer Awareness month, you can check out the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or your local Breast Cancer organization.
Enjoying the last few days of warm weather this year to wear my shorts a couple more times. Wearing a long sleeve shirt today just to make the outfit a little warmer.
