Thursday oh Thursday! Only a day away from Friday!
Had such a lovely time last night at WMCFW! It was super flattering to see my outfit on a site like BlogTo‘s street style section this morning. Thank you!

Tomorrow, I’m off to Montreal to guest bartend at a happy hour being held at the Divan Orange in Montreal. If you don’t have plans already, come see me break bottles and probably pour too much alcohol in everyone’s drinks. My shift starts at 5pm! More info here.
Today, I’m proudly wearing my friend… No really… I’m wearing the newest The Balconies tee with a lunging Jacquie on it! I had the pleasure of helping out during their latest album cover and merch photo shoot. So stoked on how these turned out. Can’t wait to see the album cover! Extremely proud to see Jacquie lunging with a pair of my kicks 🙂
A busy night at the tents for me last night! I’m really happy I was able to catch almost all the runway shows.
My night started off with a refreshing show by Klaxon Howl. It was nice to see a lot of music folks in the crowd for the show. I loved their “mise en scène” for the presentation of their collection. The park bench, lamppost and bicycle were all nice details. I rarely get to see a mens only line, so it was a nice change. The models were either clean shaven or had big beards (so trendy right now!) and a variety of hairstyles. I really appreciated all of Matt Robinson’s dress shirts: the colors he chose, the prints and the fabrics. I think he has a very modern take on workwear. I was happy to hear that all of his lines are made locally and by hand, which is something that I really respect. All in all, his designs represent to me the quintessential urban guy, the one who wants to dress with an edge but also be fashionable.
My night continued with a showing from Maison Matthew Gallagher. I loved his opening show projection – a dreamy beach! Right away I was transported into the warmth of summer. The show started off with beautiful white dresses with sheer and light fabrics. I really liked that he incorporated light prints underneath the white on certain designs. My favorite pieces came a little later on in the show, I loved the colored crop tops and fitted long skirts. I credit him for using an interesting mix of fabrics. All of the designs he presented were very feminin and suit the models really well. I liked that they didn’t overpower his designs too much with lot’s of jewelry and accessories. Promising for someone in his late 20s!
I had really been awaiting the third runway show last night: Mackage! As I’ve mentioned before, their FW13 show last season had been my favorite. Right from the beginning of their 15-minute presentation, I was in full lust mode! I particularly liked their choice of earthy colors that were so well coordinated with either shorts or skirts, simple black pumps and their stellar line of bags. I really liked their idea of adding metallic belts and neck pieces as accessories (um hello gold runway!!). Their jackets are as stunning as ever and seemed very lightweight. I loved this season’s combination trenches and also all the effortlessly cool pieces they had created for men (who said ready-to-wear and comfortable pieces couldn’t be hot!). Their crop tops and sheer tops were awesome. Props to Mackage for making bold coral orange jackets, skirts and bags. My hat goes off to these two designers again… What a sexy line! I would wear every piece in the collection! Now I better start saving up, SS14 is right around the corner!
To finish off the night, I headed to the most crowded show of the week: Joe Fresh. It’s always nice seeing so many people show up for his presentation. Elisha Cuthbert, Jake Gold, Kreesha Turner, Jian Gomeshi, were amongst the many local “celebrities” in attendance for the show last night. Props to Joe Mimran and his team for continually picking a killer soundtrack. Last night’s show tunes included Grimes, You Say Party and Britney‘s new track “Work B**ch”. I kept bobbing my head throughout the entire show! I was delighted to see a lot of navy blue and white pieces come down the runway (I need to start wearing more navy, I know it goes really well with red hair ;)), followed by some bright orange and red pieces (a reoccurring color for the ss14!), blue snakeskin, blue camo and a few black and white looks. My favorite look was the red faux leather pants and shimmery v-neck tee. The animal print clutches also caught my eye. It’s hard not to feel excited about a Joe Fresh line because it’s accessible, affordable and always contains some really fun pieces.
All in all, a memorable night at the tents! What were your highlights from last night’s shows? Who are you excited to see tonight and the rest of the week? I sadly won’t be able to go to more WMCFW shows this season due to work commitments but I spent two very inspiring nights at the David Peacaut Square again this season!
Last night I had the pleasure of surprising one of my best friends – Jacquie in Hamilton for her birthday. Not only is she a truly wonderful human being and friend, she’s also an incredibly talented artist and inspiration. Her band The Balconies are taking over the world. They’re the whole package. Not only can they write killer catchy songs, their live set is tight and explosive, they have the right attitude and are some of the nicest people in the biz. Mark my words, with their upcoming release Fast Motions, this band will be big! The band will be doing an album release show THISFriday October 25th live in Toronto. If you are like me and can’t make it out, you’ll be able to stream their entire set online via BRBR at 10pm EST right here. Don’t miss it! Happy Birthday again Jacquie!!
Today is day 3 of World MasterCard Fashion Week. A bunch of shows are on the menu for this evening including Klaxon Howl, Maison Matthew Gallagher, Mackage and Joe Fresh. Who are you looking forward to seeing? Last season, Mackage had been my favorite show so I can’t wait to see their SS14 collection tonight. Check back here tomorrow for a full review of my evening!
My love for all things leopard print will be on display this evening. I adore my stunning new Zara TRF furry leopard coat. So happy I added it to my closet, it’s the perfect coat for the season. I’m also wearing my favorite hat from Topshop and my Anine Bing boots. Ready for yet another inspiring night of fashion! See you tonight?!
PS. Can’t help but hear this song play in my head while I’m walking around with this outfit today… LOL
What a crazy night last night! So happy to have kicked off World MasterCard Fashion Week with everyone at David Peacaut Square!
Definitely in need of a pump up track for today’s early morning and busy day of shooting and I found the perfect track! Have you heard the new Childish Gambino? It’s a hit!!
Super busy day today of shooting at work! For the occasion, I’m wearing a more rock n’ roll inspired outfit. I think I’m developping an obsession for big floppy hats! I think it adds a little bit of chic’ness to the overall look. Decked out in Anine Bing, Biko Jewellery and H&M.
Last night, I had the pleasure of attending two runway shows at the tents located at David Peacaut Square in Toronto for World MasterCard Fashion Week.
I was really excited to see Beaufille, since I had heard of them through several local blogs and via instagram. When I was looking them up, their site caught my attention right away with a very grungy chic vibe, loved the old photographs of Courtney Love, Kate Moss, Nirvana & more! Their current FW13 collection is grungy goodness so I was thrilled to see what they had in store for SS14.
First, their logo is super rad! I loved the fact that they used a surfer rock band to play live during the show. The guys had mad style and chops! All the models had gelled back straight long hair, some were wearing retro shades, others had layers of dark necklaces and others had interesting mid-arm jewelry. I loved that their show start with a lot of whites, then slowly got darker with light prints, then foam green, then sand color, a few shimery fabrics, then navy blue and dark pieces. Their look is effortlessly cool and edgy without losing femininity. I loved their laced pants, their jackets and long flowy dresses. The intricate detail they added in some of their dresses was also a nice touch. Below are some of my favorite pieces from last night’s show. I can totally see myself wearing all of these pieces next summer! Great way to start the night!
I was really looking forward to the second show last night: Pink Tartan‘s SS14 collection. I had seen her two previous shows so I knew I’d been in for a treat. The show started with a beautiful short film. She also decided to start the show with some white dresses and coats. She slowly transitioned to navy blue by layering the blue onto the white pieces, to then pale blue, cream, then black, bold flowers, bright yellow and then finishing up with some black and white combinations and two stunning dresses at the very end. Pink Tartan really knows how to work with the shape of a woman. All of her pieces are always so flattering and I feel they could fit women of all ages and sizes. I adored her navy blue jacket and skirt ensemble. I was also seriously coveting those mid-calf black shimery skirts and the white button up shirt dress. I appreciated the fact that she used simple pointed toe flats to not overpower her creations. Pink Tartan’s designs make me wish I worked in a high fashion office or that I could attend a polo match or Sunday afternoon tea. She always puts a modern and elegant twist on every design she makes. I was once again very pleased with her collection!
It was also lovely to see some familiar faces last night! I was happy to see one of my favorite ladies @CrystalGibsonfor a few minutes. Not only is she an amazing person but she’s also a style inspiration!
Night off tonight but I’m back on Wednesday for more! What did you think of the first night?
It was a rainy weekend in Toronto but I still got to walk around a bit (with my new Hugo Boss bag that I won thanks to the lovely Natalie Suarez & The 88 in NYC. Yay! I love it!!), play some good old monopoly and check out some rad bands at Indie Week. My favorite band of the weekend: Diamond Bones from Montreal. They’ve got a new record in the works, stoked for y’all to hear it.
Today’s the day World MasterCard Fashion Week officially starts in Toronto. Really looking forward to seeing all the SS14 collections. I had such a blast last season! Also looking forward to seeing a lot of fellow bloggers and fabulous fashion peeps from the city.
For today’s outfit, I’m wearing a brand new dress from Zara, some Biko Jewellery swag and my Hugo Boss handbag 🙂
I had the pleasure of seeing Biko Jewellery creator and all-around amazing lady Corrine Anestopoulos this week. I stopped by her studio to check out items from her upcoming SS14 collection (the pieces are stunning! See Biko’s instagram photo below) and also get a few pieces from her most recent collection FW13 Dark Star. Over the last couple of months, things have really kicked off for Corrine’s designs in the US. Her jewellery was in Seventeen Magazine, InStyle, Glamour Mag, etc. The dreamy fashion boutique Free People is also now carrying her creations and she has been traveling to the US constantly. It’s always so nice to see local designers achieve national, international and worldwide success. I couldn’t be more excited for her! Next week, she’ll be holding a sample sale at her studio. Follow her on twitter – @BikoJewellery to get all the deets. Can’t wait!
It’s only fitting that I’m wearing pieces from her new collection for today’s outfit. Love the Mira Necklace and these new dainty rings. Thanks Corrine!!

Today is yet another travel day! I’m off to Montreal this weekend for this year’s Prix Gémeaux gala. The show that I work on received a nomination.
For the occasion, I’ll be wearing a brand new RUDYBOIS dress from his new SS14 collection. Here’s a little sneak peek.
I decided to get some custom nail art to match the dress from the talented Esther Mulders.
I’ll be posting pics of the final look early next week! 🙂
Today, two of my favorite New York designers Pamela Love x VEDA, finally announced their collaboration together. They’ve paired up for a rad line of biker jackets that I had seen in the Bing Bang NY offices in the spring. The jackets are simply irresistible! I want one!! They’re now available for pre-order here. DREAMY!
Running on very little sleep since I went to Miami last week, so I was in dyers need of a good pump up track! I was stoked to find out that one of my favorite bands Phantogram, (I really miss working with them, they’re some of the nicest people!) released a brand new track from their upcoming record Voices. Their new track is a definite hit! Can’t wait to hear the rest of the record! The track is called “Black Out Days“, you can listen to it here: https://soundcloud.com/phantogram/black-out-days-6
Off to Montreal! Wishing everyone a fab weekend! xo
