Been on the road this past week for work in Quebec City. While I was there, I got to see some amazing shows including Tegan and Sara (hello dreamy sunset!), Serena Ryder, Mozart’s Sister and Phantogram (best show I’ve seen this year, hands down!! In case you haven’t checked it out yet, go read my 5 Questions With: Sarah Barthel of Phantogramhere). Happy to be home for a few days before heading to NYC!
Last night my boyfriend and I went to watch Elysium, the summer blockbuster everyone’s been talking about that features Matt Damon & Jodie Foster. Though I didn’t like the movie nearly as much as I thought I would, three things – the fighting scenes are pretty rad, Jodie Foster’s French is remarkable and I wish healing machines would actually exist… Ah!!
Yesterday, I found out that the new AUX TV series that I recently contributed to called AUX Innovators was now online. I had a pleasure visiting my old stomping grounds to talk about some of my favorite Canadian artists: Grimes & Tegan and Sara. You can watch this great new series here: http://www.aux.tv/shows/aux-innovators/
For today’s outfit, I’m decked out in all kinds of Bing, Anine Bing that is! Wearing my brand new silver stud boots and my oh so comfortable boyfriend jeans that I got in LA last week. I’m also wearing my rad new “A” ring that I got at Urban Outfitters in Hollywood.
Happy Thursday! Man, this week has just flown by! Yesterday, I had the pleasure of going back to see some of my old crew from AUX TV. I was invited to take part in a new series of Canadian music documentaries called AUX Innovators. I’m honored to have been selected as one the guests on this special series. I was really excited to talk about two of my favorite artists: Tegan and Sara and Grimes. The series will be airing on AUX TV in June and will also be online and on their magazine tablet. I will provide you with the links once they’re available. I believe this little series will be great!
Today finally feels a little more like spring in Toronto. So I decided to wear my favorite spring/summer color: yellow!!! As a kid, I was told that redheads shouldn’t wear much yellow/orange because it doesn’t go well with our skin tones, I completely disagree. I think it just adds even more color to our fiery manes 🙂 I incorporated some black and a white and a little safari/zebra print to complete the outfit. Yay for warmer weather!
Alright, I have to get back to all of this Juno Awards preparation.
